The ground product needs replacing after three draws otherwise it won’t draw. Well made, solid unit. Difficult to get the filter plate out, no idea if there’s an up or down.

Hello Andrew Thanks for reaching out! In regards to vapor production, I think we can improve that by quite a bit. All vapes have their own unique learning curves that may not be covered in the user manual. I'm going to send you a link to our blog. Pay particular attention to your draw technique. Very short, quick, cigar-like puffs work best with this vape so that the incoming cool air does not cool down your heater prematurely, along with a very fine grind, a FULLY loaded oven, and a firm tamp. Make sure that you are holding your PAX upright when inhaling. Also please give it about 20 seconds to heat soak after your Pax has reached it's set temp. Links: PAX Plus Quickstart Guide The most common mistakes people make with a vape like this is to either pack it less than full, pack it loosely, and/or sucking too hard. Any one of these three things can kill the vapor production. You should also familiarize yourself with the cooling technology inside. If you set it down or don't touch it to your lips (with the recessed mouthpiece) it will start to cool down after 30 seconds to preserve your herbs. Once you pick it up, it rapidly heats the oven to get it back up to vaping temperature. Also, please know that your PAX is designed to be very stealthy, and they accomplish that not only by it being very pocket-friendly in design but also by limiting vapor production as compared to other vapes while, at the same time, allowing you to feel the effects of whatever herbs you are vaporizing. CanadaPax plus takes time to learn!
I have had my pax plus for about two months now and at first it was frustrating because the manual and instructions are too vague. Since then I’ve scanned the ***. Videos and found reviews, tips and tricks for pax 2-3 and plus. Reading the past reviews for the older products and watching the videos helped immensely. The links to these should be included in an updated review to help new users. I really enjoy it now as I can load up the oven and use the pac intermittently without having to reload for a few stop and go sessions. I do find that I prefer vaping dry herbs vs the concentrates only because of the fussy and difficult cleanup after using concentrates. It has one of the larger ovens holding 0.5 g of ******! It’s so neat when I’m finished I just tap out the loose residue of ****** that has been used up and there is hardly any odour and clean up is a snap when the material is cleared out immediately when you are done vaping. Some people complained that the pac got too hot but I use the excess heat thrown off the unit against my neck or painful sore spots! Also I use the pac petal lights to provide a bit of illumination in the dark to find my way around at night when I want to vape without anyone around and don’t want to trip or turn on a big *** flashlight or smartphone! Still experimenting with different grinds and packing densities to fine tune what works for me.

After I purchased it, I then saw the review on youtube and the follow up review as well. I agree with the reviewer. The settings are finicky, the temp control is not numerical it's 'experience modes' which is silly. Anyway, it works as a backup or on the go. if I could hit 'undo' I would look for better at the same price.
